Parker is soon to be 15 years and a freshman in high school. Along with his brother Connor, he was the recipient of one of The Endurance Trust Youth Scholarship Awards for the upcoming 2010 racing calendar. Parker and his brother Connor began competitive mountain biking 3 years ago. They train on the Emma Carlin/John Muir trail systems and Lapham Peak in the early and late season and ride on the Keweenaw Peninsula trails multiple times per week during the summer. Parker was 3rd overall out of 88 all age competitors in the Fall Color Festival 10 mile event in 2009. He races the Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival, Great Deer Chase, Copper Harbor Fat Tire Festival, and Fall Color Fest with several age group podium finishes. In fall of 2009 he discovered the WORS series and earned age group podium finishes in Sport Class. He also enjoys junior varsity hockey, snowboarding, and skate skiing. He looks forward to adding several more races to the calendar and biking with Endurance Trust.
