Oskar is 11 years old and is all about having fun. At age 3 he was riding his bicycle without training wheels and building mini-jumps in the yard. He participated in his first mountain bike race at age 4, decided it was a lot of fun, and has been racing ever since.
Oskar has spent many hours working on bikes, building jumps and helping with local trail work. His first mountain bike was one that he and his father recycled.
At age 9 he started competing in longer races (16mile) in addition to the children\'s races. He has placed in almost every children\'s race he\'s been in and many of the longer 13-18 mile races. Some recent accomplishments include 2nd place in his age division in the Great Deer Chase -Calumet, Mi (17mile), 2nd place in
his age category in the Seeley Pre-Fat -Seeley, Wi (10 mile),and 3rd place in his age division in the Tour Da Woods -Munising, Mi (15 mile).
In the summer months, Oskar rides regularly with the Keweenaw Cycling Club, his local bike shop and family. During the winter months, he enjoys cross country skiing and snowboarding. He is also on the Copper Country Ski Tigers ski team and races competitively throughout the winter.
