Age: 18 years (06-10-1991)
Nationality: Dutch. I'm from the Netherlands and I live in Wormerveer, that's a place near Amsterdam (the capital of Holland).
I'm a long distance swimmer. I swim distances from 1 kilometer up to 10 kilometers.
In 2009 I competed in several 10 kilometers eventsto include theLEN CUP HOORN (14th) and the Holland National Championship in Stadskanaal (21 August 2009)where I became the national youth champion of the 10k. In October I competed in Hong Kong, my first World-Cup event. I also swim as a pool swimmer the longer distances (1500m, 5000m and even 10000m). In 2010, I want to specialize on the 10k (and maybe longer).

In summer I train in a lake (Ijsselmeer). It's a lake which was in the past a sea. The put a dike between two points of the area and now the water isn't salt and there are no tides anymore.
